Xplore Group assessed Essentiel’s web shop code and infrastructure, followed by the integration of the web shop’s processes with ERP, CRM and logistics.
Essentiel is a Belgian fashion brand, operating from Antwerp. The company manages a network of stores in Belgium and France. The collections are also available in a large number of multi-brand stores in Italy, Spain, Holland, the UK, Russia, Japan and the Middle East. Essentiel runs a web shop for customers from Belgium, France, Holland and Luxembourg, as well as a general web shop for international customers.
Essentiel launched its web shop in 2012. The following year, Xplore Group took over the project from the original Magento partner. First of all, Xplore Group performed a code audit, assessing the quality of the code and of the infrastructure design. Based on the outcome of the assessment, Xplore Group proposed a number of recommendations.
In a next step, Xplore Group optimized code and infrastructure, improving the web shop’s general performance. Xplore Group also implemented an upgrade to the most recent version of Magento Enterprise.
Xplore Group automated the data streams between Essentiel’s various business systems: synchronizing pricing, stock and order data between Magento and the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP environment, as well as synchronizing customer data between Magento and Dynamics CRM. Furthermore, Magento handles tracking data from Essentiel’s external logistics partner. Xplore Group also developed functionality allowing customers to ship orders using the international Bongo platform.
