Xplore Group supports multichannel strategy with responsive web shop

Meeting every customer’s needs on desktop, tablet and smartphone, that was Xplore Group’s challenge while making over River Woods’ web shop. Behind the scenes, Xplore Group integrated the solution with ERP.

River Woods is an international player in the high-end fashion business. The company operates a network of 85 stores. The collections are also available at over 1.500 points of sale worldwide. In 2014, Xplore Group started the deep functional and technical analysis of River Woods’ web shop. The objective? Replacing the existing shop by a new platform that supports the company’s omnichannel strategy.


Xplore Group decided to build a new web shop, responsive by design and based on Magento Enterprise. All pages were optimized for desktop, tablet and smartphone. Following training sessions set up by Xplore Group, River Woods’ content managers are capable of independently adjusting all landing pages within the responsive design.


Xplore Group integrated the web shop with River Woods’ ERP environment. The ERP solution offers data about products and inventory, the shop feeds back information about online orders. Also new is the automated shipping process, managed within Magento.
